Mission and Outreach
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
-Matthew 28:19-20
Take a look through the four Gospels in the New Testament, and you will see Jesus and his disciples going out of their way to help others. These actions continue into the Book of Acts depicting the early church carrying out Jesus' commandment to love our neighbors.
At First Baptist, we strive to continue sharing love for our neighbors. Our church reaches out to Spring Hope Elementary School by holding a Back-to-School Supply Drive, a Teacher/Staff Luncheon in August, and the Backpack Buddies Food program for children. One of our highlights is the annual Trunk-or-Treat held every Halloween in October. We have started partnering with the Spring Hope Chamber of Commerce to reach out to our town through their seasonal events. In doing so, our church strives to share God's love with everyone.
